Völund

Description

The greatest weaponsmith of all time, whose works lasted for a millennium and changed the course of history. He was kidnapped, along with his brothers, at a young age by the human king Nidud of the Kingdom of Närke. During their captivity, the brothers were forced to forge weapons for the kingdom, as Midgard was in the midst of a war between humans and giants. During this captivity, Völund is known to have forged Lævatein and Balmung, two of the most important swords in history. It is also said that his works acquired a certain innate magic due to the hatred and darkness that was slowly being born within Völund. In his flight, those weapons remained in Midgard, and Völund was never the same, now he was taciturn, irascible, full of hatred.
