Eljudnir Palace

Description

The palace of Éljúdnir is the palace of the goddess Hela. It is entirely composed of shadows. Inside, Hela resides with all her subjects, and its layout is peculiar. At the entrance, one observes two giants with chains around their necks that are suspected to have been forged by Sindri. As one proceeds, the path splits in two, with a gap between two long staircases that allows a direct view of the Gjöll River. Climbing the stairs leads to the subjects' abodes, just behind an imposing statue of Hela. A central staircase ascends to the chamber of the goddess. In this room is the Kör, which is her bed, and her curtains called Blikjandaböl (Shining Disaster).
